🏀 Luka Narrative Flip, Bam’s Defensive Stand, and GOAT Peace Treaty

After backlash continued towards Bam Adebayo, Hall of Famers and members of the media came forward to defend the Miami Heat star. The center, on the other hand, squarely blamed Kobe Bryant’s fans for causing this furor.

He said that a few days later, when Luka Doncic scored 60 points against him and the Heat. That performance was exemplary and led to a round of applause from fans, as well as the media.

After being criticized for his various shenanigans, the media have been praising the Slovenian for leading the Lakers by example. For someone who has been fighting child custody and support battles with his ex-fiancee, Doncic has vaulted himself into MVP consideration.

Those family troubles led to his 16th technical foul, after Magic star Goga Bitadze allegedly tried to use it as a way to rattle the Lakers guard. However, after appealing, the NBA rescinded the call, which means he avoids suspension, for now.

They have also been praising LeBron James, with Stephen A. Smith almost apologizing for undermining his abilities as a basketball player. James has been playing efficient basketball, which surprised even his staunchest critics.

However, former rival Paul Pierce argued that even if he wins two more titles, he still will not overtake Michael Jordan as the GOAT, a notion Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Durant, and Mike Krzyzewski also held.

Cade Cunningham suffered a collapsed lung, which jeopardizes the Pistons’ playoff chances. If he recovers well, he could return before the postseason. Another young star, Anthony Edwards, had some warm-up battles with former President Barack Obama before the latter’s Presidential Center opens in Chicago.

💰️ $1.4M Supermax, Clark’s MVP Return, and "EPIC" New Era

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s teamwork at the FIBA qualifiers in Puerto Rico captured the hearts and minds of basketball fans. The latter finished with the most rebounds for Team USA, after the Americans won all five of their games.

The Indiana Fever guard was named tournament MVP after she finished with the most points, assists, and efficiency of any player in Puerto Rico. Hearing about this excited rapper Kid Cudi, who now wants to watch Clark play in the WNBA.

Team USA members flew back home not just happy about their wins, but also that their union and the WNBA finally agreed to a new CBA. After the 100-hour negotiation ended, players know for sure when the next season will start.

WWE superstar Charlotte Flair labeled the players as ‘pioneers,’ after managing to convince the league that they deserve million-dollar salaries. Once the CBA is ratified, the Las Vegas Aces are lining up A’ja Wilson’s contract, which should be at the new supermax of $1.4 million.

The CBA will also increase the salaries of Clark, Reese, and all those on rookie deals. Now, they will earn around $500K, with the Fever guard set to earn $1.3 million next season as part of the new EPIC rules, which allow younger players to sign max deals if their accomplishments make them eligible.

However, the tight schedule before the next season starts will ensure there is a mad rush in free agency. With the expansion draft set to take place before that, expect teams like the Fever to struggle to sign good players with almost the entire league hitting free agency.

🏈 "Negative Vibes" Fallout, Mahomes’ Replacement, and Brady’s Oscar Snaps

Until Patrick Mahomes recovers from his ACL tear, the Chiefs have Justin Fields to bank on, after completing a trade with the Jets. Mahomes also lost Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles, who have also pulled out of trade negotiations involving AJ Brown currently.

Maxx Crosby’s return to the Raiders started off with him revealing how the Ravens gave off ‘negative vibes.’ He revealed that GM Eric DeCosta didn’t seem interested in meeting him, and head coach Jesse Minter gave him a blank look.

Tom Brady, whose trainer the pass rusher has criticized, deflected questions about the trade after the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was instead focused on his trash talk with WWE star Logan Paul.

Brady did not spare Joe Burrow for partying with former squeeze Alix Earle at the Oscars after-party. Neither did he leave out Jayden Daniels, taking a swipe at his mother for her excessive control over his life.

In practice and in the games, the FOX Sports broadcaster proved he still can sling the ball well. On the other hand, Logan Paul first had his ankles broken by a certain Saquon Barkley. But later, he intercepted Burrow, much to the annoyance of NFL fans.

The Bengals QB stated his intention of representing the USA at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. However, his lackluster performance, along with that of the rest of the NFL stars against the Team USA flag football team, left fans with the view that NFL stars are not good enough to play the sport.
