🩳 UFC 314 RECAP
⛳️ Rory McIlroy Makes History at The Masters — With Praise from Trump and Legends
Rory McIlroy made history at Augusta National, winning The Masters in a dramatic playoff against Justin Rose and completing the elusive career Grand Slam. The win marks his first major title since 2014 and places him in elite company as only the sixth golfer ever to win all four majors. “This is the best day of my golfing career,” McIlroy said, soaking in the emotional moment that had fans and fellow athletes in awe.
Tributes poured in from the sporting world, including legends like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Rafael Nadal. Even former U.S. President Donald Trump praised McIlroy’s gutsy comeback, calling it a “show of tremendous courage” during a post-Masters chat aboard Air Force One. Trump, a known fan of The Masters, called it “maybe my favorite sporting show” and gave credit to Justin Rose as well for a strong performance.

The victory wasn’t just meaningful for McIlroy’s trophy cabinet—it was deeply personal. Nearly a year after filing for divorce from his wife Erica Stoll, the couple were seen celebrating the win together in a heartfelt embrace. McIlroy confirmed they had reconciled months ago, and the image of the family together at Augusta added an extra layer of emotion to an already unforgettable Sunday.
For McIlroy, this wasn’t just a golf win—it was a moment of redemption, resilience, and rewriting history.
🏀 Playoff Picture Set: Warriors Fumble as West Goes Down to the Wire
The final two regular season games played out and all eyes were on the Western Conference as playoff seedings were at stake. The Los Angeles Lakers won against the Houston Rockets to cement third place.
The Minnesota Timberwolves won against the Memphis Grizzlies to leap over them in the standings. Then, the Grizzlies again lost to the Denver Nuggets after leading much of the game to slide down to seventh.
The focus shifted to the Golden State Warriors, whose casual approach resulted in a seeding-defining loss to the San Antonio Spurs. They had to win both their remaining games and they first ensured they won the easier game of the two on Friday.
Then came the Los Angeles Clippers and the Warriors kept pace with them all game. It went into overtime and the home team had the chance to tie it. Draymond Green, who had an easy opportunity to shoot a layup and tie it, botched it. This and other missed shots saw them lose the game and end up in the play-in spots.
The Warriors will face the Grizzlies on April 15th to win 7th place. Even if they win, no fan or analyst can place their finger on who will come out from the West. The East is easier, as some believe either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Boston Celtics will reach the NBA Finals.
Whoever comes out from either of these conferences, the NBA has drawn enough excitement to make up for the lacklustre regular season and All-Star weekend. Adam Silver will be hoping the playoffs add to that and bring back many of the fans who gave up on the league.
🏁 Bahrain GP: Piastri Shines, Red Bull Stumbles, and Haas Surprises
Oscar Piastri stole the show in Bahrain with a flawless pole-to-flag victory—his second win of the season and fourth overall. The young Aussie was in a league of his own, while teammate Lando Norris struggled to get comfortable in the 2025 McLaren, raising a few eyebrows about his form.
George Russell continued his hot streak with a gritty drive to third place—his third podium in four races. Despite battling electronic gremlins, brake-by-wire issues, and worn tyres, Russell held off Norris in a nail-biting finish.
Red Bull’s weekend went from bad to worse. Max Verstappen faced everything from poor car balance and tyre issues to two painfully slow pit stops—yes, two. For the first time in a while, Max found himself battling midfield cars instead of leading the pack. Yuki Tsunoda managed a P9 finish to at least put something on the board.

One of the biggest feel-good stories? Alpine! Pierre Gasly brought home the team’s first points of the season with a clean P7 finish. After a rough 2024, it was a much-needed boost.
At the other end of the grid, Liam Lawson’s return with Racing Bulls didn’t go as planned. The Kiwi struggled in qualifying and was outshone by rookie teammate Isack Hadjar. Meanwhile, Aston Martin’s woes continued—both Alonso and Stroll were well off the pace and finished out of the points.
But let’s hear it for Haas! The underdogs ran bold strategies and executed flawlessly, even putting serious pressure on the Red Bulls. Yep, you read that right.
F1 in 2025 is already serving drama, dominance, and surprises—just how we like it.
🥊 UFC 314 Recap: Volkanovski Returns, Mitchell Crumbles, Trump Steals the Spotlight
UFC 314 lived up to its hype and then some, delivering fireworks from start to finish at a packed Kaseya Center in Miami. The energy was electric—not just from the fights, but also from the crowd’s reaction to VIP guests. Former President Donald Trump, flanked by Dana White, made a grand entrance to thunderous applause. Elon Musk followed, receiving just as warm a welcome. The arena was buzzing with high-profile appearances, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., FBI Director Kash Patel, and other cabinet members turning the event into a political who’s-who ringside.
The action inside the Octagon was just as dramatic. Alexander Volkanovski reclaimed his featherweight throne in dominant fashion, outclassing Diego Lopes in a unanimous decision victory. Coming off two tough losses, Volk entered the cage as an underdog—but not to rapper Drake, who backed him with a bold $545K bet. Against the odds and the looming "Drake Curse," Volkanovski silenced critics and proved he’s still elite.

The night also featured major controversy. Bryce Mitchell, who had drawn heavy backlash for praising Adolf Hitler and spewing antisemitic rhetoric, was convincingly submitted by Jean Silva in Round 2. Fans booed Mitchell during his entrance, and social media erupted in celebration after his loss. Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy even went viral for mocking him from the front row while waving an Israeli flag. Dana White publicly condemned Mitchell’s past comments, but stood firm on his free speech stance and refrained from suspending the fighter.
As the dust settled, UFC 314 reminded fans why MMA is as much about characters and chaos as it is about combat. From presidential cameos to redemption arcs and viral takedowns—this card had it all.
