😲 Parsons' Blockbuster Trade, Hill's Divorce & The Swift-Kelce Engagement

The Dallas Cowboys sent shockwaves through the sports world when they traded away star pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. He then signed a record 4-year, $188 million deal, making him the highest-paid non-QB in the league.

Surprisingly, he now earns more than Patrick Mahomes. Billionaire owner Jerry Jones was diplomatic while addressing the media, even though it was evident that he did not want to handle Parsons’ drama.

President Donald Trump also avoided drama by suggesting that he was happy for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement. That is, after he initially claimed they would not be together for long.

Attention to their future was such that Kelce’s Chiefs jerseys flew off the shelf, recording a 200% increase in sales. Some believe a Super Bowl win would be the perfect wedding gift for the couple.

Tyreek Hill’s marriage to Keeta Vaccaro is over after she filed for divorce following an incident of domestic violence. She has demanded a one-time payment of $500K along with monthly payments, legal fees, and additional money.

In other news, Terry McLaurin received a massive contract extension, which will keep him with the Commanders for the next 3 years. Trey Hendrickson was not so lucky as he settled for a pay raise just for next season.

Shedeur Sanders can breathe a sigh of relief as he will have a job with the Cleveland Browns next season. The franchise designated him as their QB3, which did not sit well with his fans. They believe he played better than Dillon Gabriel in the preseason.

💵 The $12M Card, A King's Broken Heart & A European Invasion

Michael Beasley continued his renaissance by winning the BIG 3 championship. His team pocketed $1 million, which could go a long way toward repairing the financial situation of the former Miami Heat star.

Talking about financials, a long time ago, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant collaborated to sign a rare trading card featuring their jersey patches. That card went on to shatter the sports trading card record after a buyer paid $12.9 million for it.

Russell Westbrook does not know which team will pay him a salary next season. That did not stop him from renewing his wedding vows with his wife, Nina, in the quintessential town of Portofino, Italy.

Sticking to Europe, NBA stars have started their EuroBasket campaign with some electric performances. Luka Doncic set a tournament record, Nikola Jokic led Serbia to a thumping victory, and Giannis Antetokounmpo led Greece to a win.

Doncic teamed up with Overwatch 2 to become a playable character. Billboards featuring the Lakers' superstar adorned Crypto.com Arena. Another one was outside the American Airlines Arena, which the Dallas Mavericks owners did not appreciate and asked to be moved.

Clippers head coach Ty Lue revealed that LeBron James was ‘crushed’ when Kyrie Irving left the Cavaliers. He believes that had they won another title or 2, both might have never left Cleveland.

Tyrese Haliburton revealed that he was given the nickname, ‘Haliban’, solely because of his exploits against the New York Knicks. The Pacers star also revealed that it will be 15 months before he returns to the court.

🏀 Angel's Snub, Clark's Logo & A'ja's Aces

Angel Reese was the only Chicago Sky player not to wear Candace Parker’s t-shirts when the franchise retired her No. 3 jersey. The forward set another WNBA double-double record, but her team has lost its last 3.

Caitlin Clark and Nike revealed her signature logo, which comprises 2 main Cs and 1 hidden C. Signature apparel will launch later this year, and her first signature sneaker is scheduled to launch in 2026. She also is teaming up with ‘Stanley’ for her own signature Cup.

Clark’s prediction about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is about to come true after the couple became engaged over the weekend. That news perfectly accompanied her signature logo night when the Fever thumped the Seattle Storm out of the building.

A’ja Wilson continued to excel on the court and led her Las Vegas Aces to 12 straight wins. Those wins propelled them from 6th to 2nd in the standings and are viewed as a strong championship contender.

The school shooting in Minnesota became a topic of discussion. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve condemned the shooting and asked lawmakers to ensure their children are safe. Minnesota native Paige Bueckers asked for stricter gun laws after shootings left many dead and injured.

⛳️ LIV's New Tour Stop, Rory's Tennis Trip & A Captain's Picks

The Ryder Cup is still a little ways off, but the drama has already begun. U.S. Captain Keegan Bradley just announced his six captain’s picks to round out the team for Bethpage. There was a lot of speculation about who he’d choose, especially since he was also in the mix to make the team on his own merits. In the end, Bradley went with a talented group, tapping Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Young, Ben Griffin, Sam Burns, and Patrick Cantlay.

Over on the LIV Golf side of things, the big story is a new addition to the calendar. LIV will be heading to New Orleans in 2026, and the city is ready to make it happen in a big way. Louisiana has agreed to pay the Saudi-backed tour a cool $5 million, plus another $2.2 million for some course upgrades at Bayou Oaks. It's a big investment for the state, which is hoping the event will bring in some major economic activity.

The new tournament announcement came with a bit of a strange twist. Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry made a comment that immediately raised some eyebrows, saying it was an “unbelievable opportunity to announce this on the 20th-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.” It was a comment that many found tone-deaf and sparked a lot of discussion online.

While all of that was going down, Rory McIlroy was spotted doing something totally different. Less than three hours after finishing his season at the Tour Championship, the five-time major winner was already at the U.S. Open in New York. He traded the golf course for Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Novak Djokovic in his first-round match, just enjoying some well-deserved downtime with his caddie and friends.

Some fans immediately started trolling him online, questioning his dedication and why he didn't stick around for the end of the golf tournament. But McIlroy was ready with a response. He set the record straight in a media scrum, reminding everyone that he has a life outside of the sport and that even the best golfers need a break. It was a perfect response to the criticism and a solid end to his wild week.
