🏀 Beasley's Eviction, Durant's Salty Reply & Michelle's TV Critique

Former Pistons star Malik Beasley is not having the offseason he would have preferred. After the federal investigation into his links to bettors, he has now been evicted from his apartment.

The eviction had nothing to do with his investigation; rather, it was because he did not pay $21K in rent he owes for the past 3 months. It seems his financial situation is getting worse by the day.

Stephen A. Smith was at the receiving end of a Michelle Obama joke when she claimed his antics on TV are as bad as the show, The Real Housewives. The ESPN analyst replied as respectfully as he could.

Kevin Durant’s replies to fans have been anything but respectful. He has been on a run of sarcastic replies to fans who came after him once the NBA announced its 2025-26 schedule. It so happens that Durant will play on opening night against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Now that OKC are champions, it allowed fans to mock him for leaving the franchise to join the Warriors. But he had the perfect response, suggesting OKC fans were salty that he won 2 Finals MVPs without them.

NBA’s Christmas Day special will feature the Knicks and the Cavs, along with a plethora of Western Conference teams. The NBA is trying to milk everything LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Durant have to give to the league.

🤕 Clark's Fast-Track, Taurasi's Take & A'ja's Record Night

Caitlin Clark is likely being fast-tracked to return to play. Two season-ending injuries to her backup point guards have forced the Fever to speed up her recovery. They have signed Odyssey Sims to hold the fort.

The 23-year-old revealed to Sue Bird that she did not know how to manage her injuries after not facing one for nearly 7 years. After the 3rd one, she and her team decided to take it easy and wait until it's time to return.

NBA legend Bob Cousy wants WNBA players to respect Clark and avoid fouling her so much. He believes they would lose out if she continues to face injuries. Diana Taurasi stoked further controversy when she claimed she deserved to be on Team USA’s Paris Olympics squad.

That was once it was brought to her attention that many fans wanted Team USA to drop the legend and take Clark to Paris, as it would help the WNBA garner a worldwide audience.

The WNBA is facing a new 3-way MVP race after Alyssa Thomas’ recent triple-doubles helped her climb into the space previously dominated by the now-injured Napheesa Collier.

Now, A’ja Wilson has also entered the fray after a dominating 32-point, 20-rebound effort against the Sun. That performance is a WNBA first, and helped her vault into the conversation as she has led her Aces to 4-straight wins.

🏈 Shedeur's Stunner, Geno's Flip & Brady's Big Reveal

Shedeur Sanders started the first preseason game for the Cleveland Browns and played as if he had a chip on his shoulder. He showed off his scrambling skills, his awareness of the pocket, and his ability to dissect opposing defenses.

But most importantly, he showed off his throwing ability, sending the ball perfectly into windows for his receivers to score. LeBron James applauded the rookie and slammed naysayers for trying to find criticism.

Geno Smith played his first game as the QB of the Las Vegas Raiders against his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. It seems his former fans are not happy, and Smith ended up flipping them off, something former Seahawks and his now HC, Pete Carroll, did not have a problem with.

Preseason games brought some entertainment when CeeDee Lamb was steamrolled by an official and was then handed a penalty for entering the restricted area. In another game, Jaguars kicker Cam Little scored a 70-yard field goal. Unfortunately, it will not be counted against records as it was in the preseason.

Detroit Lions cornerback Morice Norris’ neck snapped backward while tackling. After the injury, both the Lions and Falcons' HC’s decided to suspend the game, as their players were visibly shaken. Thankfully, for Norris, he is now breathing and has movement in his neck.

The New England Patriots revealed Tom Brady’s statue to much fanfare. The 7-time Super Bowl champion gave a heartwarming speech, but saved the best for the Jets, when he trolled them for their lack of competitiveness.

🏁 Zilisch's Fall, Hill's Wreck & SVG's Shine

Connor Zilisch had a dominant win in the Xfinity Series, but his celebration ended in disaster. The 19-year-old rookie broke his collarbone in Victory Lane, a bizarre accident as he climbed from his car. His triumphant day quickly turned into a trip to the hospital.

That same Xfinity race saw Austin Hill continue his season of controversy. He triggered a massive 16-car wreck, causing a red flag and knocking out most of the top contenders. It was another aggressive driving incident that has the NASCAR garage talking.

In the Cup Series, Shane van Gisbergen left no doubt about his road-course mastery. SVG redeemed himself with a dominant victory, cruising to the finish line with a massive 11-second lead. He thoroughly humbled the entire field at Watkins Glen.

Finishing a distant second was Christopher Bell. While he was happy with his team's effort and a solid result, he couldn't hide his frustration. Bell simply stated that he was "frustrated to get our butts kicked by the 88 car" (SVG's car), perfectly capturing the feeling of the competition.
