Officiating blunders, Lakers’ 0-3 hole, Knicks Sweep Sixers
Jaylen Brown was called out by Stephen A. Smith and former players who felt the guard was being hypocritical with his officiating criticism. The Celtics guard stood his ground and even asked Smith to retire from television.
Officiating was also the major topic of conversation after LeBron James and his Lakers could not get hard fouls called in the first 2 games. Austin Reaves had a major showdown with one official, and celebrities such as Lil Wayne and even Foot Locker called out the NBA.
Game 3 was much better, but the OKC Thunder still blew out the Lakers. The King believes they still have hope to salvage the series, and so does head coach JJ Redick. WWE legend Ric Flair called out Luka Doncic for not playing and leaving his teammates out to dry.
James Harden faced criticism from all angles after his turnovers and lack of production cost the Cavaliers the first 2 games of their series against the Detroit Pistons. He answered back in style in Game 3, silencing them with a great performance.
Joel Embiid faced boos from Philadelphia 76ers fans after the team went down 0-3 to the Knicks. The latter’s fans dominated Xfinity Mobile Arena despite the center’s pleas to Philly fans. Eventually, the Knicks swept the Sixers in four games.
After Victor Wembanyama helped his Spurs take a 2-1 series lead, many felt the Wolves were done. But in Game 4, the Frenchman was ejected for a vicious elbow to Naz Reid’s throat. Anthony Edwards took over in the fourth quarter and dedicated the win to his late mother.
The NBA playoffs are heading towards their closing stages. Stick around to stay on track with all the updates.
Grand Slam boycott on the cards, Jannik Sinner chases history
Players are threatening to boycott a Grand Slam tournament over prize money disputes. They are demanding a 22% of the revenue generated by the four Majors, plus they also want the Majors to contribute to players' welfare.
Aryna Sabalenka thinks boycotting may be the only way to fight for their rights. Her fellow top players, such as Jannik Sinner, Coco Gauff, Elina Rybakina, and Novak Djokovic, among others, agree with her. But Iga Swiatek thinks boycotting is an extreme step.
Sabalenka, for the second time this year, lost in a tournament before reaching the final. Hailey Baptiste ended her title defense in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open, and later, Sorana Cirstea eliminated her in the Italian Open third round.
Sabalenka later confirmed that lower back and hip problems affected her performance. She will be hoping for a quick recovery before the French Open, which kicks off on May 24th.
Sinner, since winning his first Indian Wells title, has yet to lose a match. In Rome, he is eyeing history because winning the home Masters 1000 will not only make him the first man to clinch six consecutive titles at this level but also the second man after Djokovic to complete the Career Golden Masters (winning the nine Masters 1000s).
In the Madrid final, Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev, who later sparked debate after putting himself in the same bracket as Sinner, Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz.
Fans continue to be gripped by tennis’s controversies and accomplishments, return to stay updated.

Mike Vrabel’s scandal not going anywhere, Stefon Diggs not guilty
Mike Vrabel is not going to be out of the news anytime soon after TMZ released pictures of him and Dianna Russini hiring a boat to spend time together. Soon, a video also shows a visibly pregnant Russini and Vrabel walking down the pier.
Despite all that, Drake Maye labeled his head coach a ‘great human being.’ Calls for his dismissal are mounting, but the Patriots haven’t budged. On top of that, Russini was being slandered for apparently making up her car-crash hero story.
The Patriots and scandals seem to be joined at the hip. Next up was former WR Stefon Diggs. The personal chef who accused him of choking and assaulting her revealed in court that she was in an intimate relationship with him before getting the job.
Eventually, the jury dismissed all charges against Diggs. But that did not stop the pass catcher from checking his former employee out inside the court. Later, he enjoyed a playful moment with Cardi B, four months after she ended their relationship.
Madison Beer hard-launched a beaming Justin Herbert in the music video for her new single, Lovergirl. The Chargers QB should also be smiling as his offensive coordinator, Mike McDaniel, claimed he aims to bring the best out of the QB.
Aaron Rodgers is still on the edge about his NFL career, and Kendrick Bourne took the opportunity to try to recruit him to join the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers, meanwhile, are unsure of their quarterback’s whereabouts.
Football fanatic President Donald Trump asked about Patrick Mahomes’ recovery, while also taking aim at the NFL’s ridiculous ticket prices. He also flamed the league for shifting to streaming, something FOX owner Rupert Murdoch allegedly warned him about.
Football does not fail to keep fans hooked. Return for more updates next week.
Caitlin Clark reveals LeBron James’ support, WNBA season starts with a bang
Before starting Year 3, LeBron James hyped Caitlin Clark’s season preview. She credited him for being a pillar of support when she struggled emotionally with injuries last season. Clark revealed that nowadays they bond over golf.
Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob credited Clark for helping him lock in his decision to invest in the now $850 million valued Valkyries. At least he gave her credit, whereas an ESPN analyst suggested the Fever play better without their superstar.
The point guard and her teammates opened the season against Paige Bueckers and her Dallas Wings. The high-scoring game saw multiple lead changes, culminating in a loss for the home team after Clark and Kelsey Mitchell missed game-tying three-point attempts.
Angel Reese helped seal the deal in her first game for the Atlanta Dream, blocking the Lynx on a last-second shot attempt. That was a major improvement over her final preseason game, where she struggled against Kiki Iriafen.
US Soccer great Megan Rapinoe gave Reese credit for handling the media in her way. The Dream forward also handled the spotlight well at the 2026 Met Gala, where A’ja Wilson and Bueckers joined her as the WNBA delegation.
This year’s expansion team, the Portland Fire, could not get a win in their first game of the season. But they managed to set an attendance record after 19,335 fans showed up. Chicago Sky star Skylar Diggins threw shade at naysayers who claimed no one watches women’s sports.
The WNBA season is off to a banger. Stay updated with all the news next week.
SVG Dominates Watkins Glen While Logano Crowns Blaney NASCAR’s Best
Shane van Gisbergen stormed back from a huge deficit to win at Watkins Glen, leading 74 laps and extending his road-course dominance. The Trackhouse star now has seven Cup wins in just 62 starts.
Katherine Legge says she still wants to attempt the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 “Double Duty” challenge despite Kyle Larson’s recent struggles. She believes she can still compete at a high level in both IndyCar and NASCAR.
Joey Logano called Ryan Blaney “the best driver” in the Cup garage, praising his consistency and speed throughout the 2026 season. The comments further highlighted Blaney’s growing reputation inside Team Penske.
Over at 23XI Racing, Tyler Reddick had more reasons to rejoice. This time, it was in the form of a multi-million dollar contract extension. He was happy that he could secure his long-term future, and wants to keep racing for Michael Jordan’s team for a long time.
The NBA legend also had another discussion, but this time with longtime ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, after his comments drew the ire of Logano and Kevin Harvick. The latter simply asked the basketball analyst not to talk about a sport he knows nothing about.
Fans are hooked on the 2026 NASCAR season, so should you. Stay on track with all the updates.
