🏀 LEBRON’S AWARD ELIGIBILITY
👑 1v1 CROWN
🏈 TOM IS A TROLL
CP3 Farewell, All-Star Anarchy, and LeBron’s Award Eligibility Crisis
When many felt new fans would go quiet after another blockbuster trade deadline, the NBA exploded with two brawls. The first one saw two each from the Hornets and Pistons get ejected and suspended.
Naturally, Isaiah Stewart bore the brunt of it with a seven-game suspension for coming off the bench and throwing hands at Miles Bridges. The second one was not as wild, but still drew ejections and technical fouls.
At least none of them wanted to tank, unlike the Utah Jazz, who were fined hundreds of thousands of dollars, but still kept their best players from going back on the floor in the fourth quarter. The league is looking at ways to stop tanking.
Chris Paul called time on his legendary 21-year career. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and a host of former and current players paid tribute to the original ‘Point God.’ The Lakers superstar will not be eligible for end-of-season awards after breaching the NBA’s 65-game rule.
LeBron James received flak for his comments praising Israel before the All-Star game. His Paris Olympics teammate, Kevin Durant, was cornered on social media for his investments in a drone company that supplies the Israeli Defense Forces.
Anthony Edwards echoed Durant’s complaints against Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic for not showing the fight in an All-Star game. The Wolves star eventually gave credit to Victor Wembanyama for setting the tone.
Edwards’ USA Starz beat Wembanyama’s World team, and then James’ USA Stripes in the final. Fans and the media felt this edition of the All-Star game was much more entertaining than in recent years.

Gray Crowns the 1v1, Bueckers’ Viral Exit, and Rickea Jackson’s Courtroom Stand
LA Sparks forward Rickea Jackson informed the Miami-Dade County court that she is willing to testify against her ex-boyfriend and NFL star James Pearce Jr., as he is about to undergo a trial for domestic violence as well as assault on officers.
For this purpose, the former Tennessee Vols star gave up her spot on the Unrivaled 1v1 tournament to focus on the legal matter at hand. If her testimony goes against her boyfriend, he could face at least five years in prison.
That 1v1 battle started with Veronica Burton shutting out one half of the StudBudz, Courtney Williams, in the first round. Then, as the rest battled against each other, Las Vegas Aces star Chelsea Gray found herself facing Paige Bueckers.
The reigning Rookie of the Year was left frustrated when officials did not call a foul against the WNBA’s Point God. After Gray put the finishing touches on her win, Bueckers stormed off the court. Videos of that are still going viral.
The Aces star eventually went on to win the 1v1 tournament, defeating Allisha Gray in the final. After finishing the Gray vs Gray battle, the reigning Unrivaled champion pocketed $200K, almost the same as her entire WNBA season’s salary.
Once their title defense is over, Gray will stay in Miami for Team USA training camp. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, along with a few others, will join them before heading off to Puerto Rico for the FIBA qualifiers.
Brady Trolls the Mannings, Sam Darnold’s Victory Lap, and Steve Tisch’s Legal Storm
Some congressmen are launching an official investigation into the Super Bowl LX halftime show for potentially ‘explicit’ lyrics. Even though Bad Bunny is facing the heat for signing in Spanish, the show still garnered 4 billion views on social media.
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ relationship is a question mark after both did not attend the Super Bowl after party she spent more than a million dollars to plan. Apparently, his ex getting a front row seat at the game irked the rapper.
At the championship parade, QB Sam Darnold thanked the Seahawks for believing in him when others had given up. His running back and Super Bowl LX MVP, Kenneth Walker, tried to get his contract renegotiated there.
From this season onwards, those players would not be able to publicly express their feelings through the ‘report card’ that they took part in after the NFL managed to get a ruling to stop the survey from reaching the public.
Further details came out debunking Giants co-owner Steve Tisch’s claims to just have a ‘brief association’ with Jeffrey Epstein. Cardi B even used the Epstein files to get back at the Department of Homeland Security after trolling her comments about ‘jumping’ ICE agents.
Tom Brady and Logan Paul had a back-and-forth about the athleticism of NFL vs WWE stars. The GOAT QB also had some words for Eli Manning, trolling him and his older brother Peyton Manning after the Giants QB took shots at Brady’s skinny jeans.
